As a Graduate in Economics, I worked within the financial industry in London for several years, developing a strong understanding of the Commercial Finance field. This experience coupled with qualifications in HR and Business Turnaround have stood me in great stead to support my clients.
My focus is to provide commercial finance solutions to clients nationally, irrespective of the company size or status. Over the years I have developed fantastic relationships with funders you may have heard of and many that you wouldn’t find and now have a significant network of lenders that know our strengths. My experience allows me to assist in straight forward funding requirements or provide guidance and solutions for the weird, the wonderful and every challenge in between.
On the rare occasions when I’m not working, I enjoy travelling, diving and eating. I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled extensively from Europe to India, Africa and the States.
During my career I’ve had successes working in the PLC world and the SME sector as an owner manager. I have understood the importance of well structured and organised businesses in order to support the businesses profitability.
I enjoy working with business owners whose passion and drive makes either a successful business more successful or a distressed business return back to profitability. My strengths of change management and structured reporting makes the path for the business transparent, obstacle free and effective.
I have a history of successful turnaround projects, with most recently restructuring a medium sized logistics business resulting in stability, profitability and a clear strategic plan.
When I’m not working, I can often be found cooking and drinking wine, whilst listening to my favourite artists Andrea Bocelli, Ludovico Einuardi and Erasure!
I work as an influential business advisor and commercial broker with broad experience and a sustained record of success with B2B and B2C Finance, Healthcare, Legal and Construction Sectors. Leo has a wealth of experience in leading teams and mentoring others. Skills that I have honed during a successful career in banking, spanning over 30 years, and more recently, as a mentor within the Growth Business Service.
I joined BFS in 2016 as an Appointed Representative, since joining the team I have been instrumental in helping many businesses achieve their objectives; whether business restructuring, senior team development, funding or creating an exit plan.
In my spare time, I enjoy live music events (when they can go ahead), walking, skiing and swimming.
My experience spans more than 30 years in the Commercial Banking Sector including Senior Specialist roles in Business Strategy Planning and Commercial Property. Until recently, I was Lloyds’ Real Estate Relationship Director for the East Midlands and South Yorkshire, managing Property Loans of £1m+ within an expanding portfolio of Property Investment and Development Clients.
Since joining Business Finance Solutions (UK) Ltd in 2019, I have been successful in getting an assortment of property and commercial deals across the line and supporting our clients’ objectives.
Outside of work, I love the outdoors and can be found walking, cycling, skiing or playing golf. I even completed the National 3 Peaks challenge.
I joined the BFS family in 2019 after graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in Criminology.
I started out as Business Development Executive, supporting the other members of the team in ensuring deals were completed efficiently and forming great relationships with our clients. I am now training to be a broker and I look forward to completing my diploma in Invoice Finance and Asset Based Lending.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, watching football, going out with friends and seeing live music.
