Road map for rolling out Making Tax Digital

Since April 2019, VAT-registered businesses have been required to use the Making Tax Digital service for:

  • Income tax and NICs purposes if your turnover is below the VAT threshold
  • VAT purposes for everyone who is VAT registered
  • Corporation Tax purposes for everyone who pays Corporation Tax

The government has now set out its road map for the further roll out of Making Tax Digital, which will cover VAT, income tax and corporation tax.
